that's me... I'm a laydeee....
6 ft (well it's about 5 ft and then has a tellytubby thing that stands to attention and pretends that makes it 6ft) but I put it on a wee table so it's nearly at the ceiling (started when the wee one was crawling and put it high so he couldn't reach but now just keep doing it). Decorated (this year) in only gold and cream with a tiny amount of small balls in various colours. The star is dangling off the top and I'm too small to fix it and the OH keeps saying 'aye in a while' but never does it.
Oh it has only yellowish lights on it, the run of the mill ones you can buy anywhere. There are about 600 lights on the thing and you would think there was only about 200.
Flashing yellow lights on the window, they're a kind of net thing and are about 3 inches too short to cover the whole window (3 separate parts) so I've only put them on the middle one. Wrapped some steady yellowish lights around the fireplace garland aswell.

Ahh right fankoo
6ft with one huge set of white flashing lights and one coloured set, 56 red baubles, green and silver tinsel to stop it looking like a twig and a duck on top....
About 7inches . . .oh tree??!!
Wishful thinking?
The baubles aren't up to much either....and you should see the state of the tinsel......
you been peeping too
Mebbe
I would take a peek but I can't find my specs
I don't think specs will help. Try this.
well firstly, it has to be a real tree. This year ours is about 6ft, decorated with silver attire. lametta , baubles and plain white lights.
Our tree last year was the best. I dunno what it is this year ? ... it's just not as up to scratch as I wanted it to be .... I may consider a colour change for next year. Perhaps a shorter fuller tree and decorated with gold attire.

You've ducknapped her haven't you?
Meh! I'm not bothering this year <---- except for that tiddley one
We have excelled in tackiness this year. In the corner of the dining room, in all it's naff glory, stands the musical snowing tree:
Obviously this has not gone down too well with Mr. C so a more sedate, traditional tree is in the lounge. (I've managed to naffify the trees in the tv room, landing and on the stairs too )
Please don't feel sorry for him; he's incredibly irritating at this time of year, so I've taken my revenge early.

Oh gawd! I want one of those, it would send Mr K stratospheric with hatred, he hates all decs
My tree is about 5', but stands on a table so it looks taller....It has white lights and this year is sporting silver and gold baubles
I've seen them in the window of a card shop Kaytee. Just can't bloody remember which one
I saw a lovely slim tree in M&S in Newcastle this afternoon. Think it was the shops own decoration one though
However it has had me looking on the net when I came home but can't find a decent one for the money I want to pay

The reaction is beyond price, Kaytee Mr. C went into rolleyed overdrive It's been years since I've seen anyone that horrified

How about Amazon, Sprouty? They're good for cutting out the leg work at this time of year, plus they show alternatives
I have lived in my current home since 1997 and so far have never had a tree or any decorations up at Christmas.
However, this year...
I will continue the tradition and refrain from buying a tree or any decorations.

I've seen one on Play that might do the job Cosmic, but it's a tad expensive at ÂĢ68
This is it, and who's to say I would get it in time

Thing is Sprouty, you've got to look at it as an investment. You'll be bringing it out year after year after year, so there is value to be considered in the long run.
Hark at me talking about investment and yearly useage! That singing snowing tree won't see the light of day after this year
LOL!
I actually really like it, but there's no way I should be paying that for a tree, although it is slim and would look nice in my sitting room
What about one of those bare twiggy type trees that are decorated with soft white lights. They look nice - minimal in style too.
The reviews on it say it's nice and quick deliv too. Hmmmmm *Strokes chin*
I got one of these (white lights though) for my birthday - it's up as a lamp all year in my dining room/kitchen - I've hung some very modern nits and bobs on it for Christmas - looks lovely.

I had thought about one of those. I'm seriously thinking of ordering this (tis all your fault) and if it doesn't come in time well I'll just put my other one up
I have to admit, that does look nice Sooz.

Most online sites say if they can deliver in time for Crimble.
I think you're still in time
Done!
They say delivery in 1-5 working days but most reviews say it was really speedy
Done!
Actually that robbing B has probably done us a bit of a favour .....they'll be no online impulse buying until my new cards come through
Thank God most of it is done!
