Mebbe

I would take a peek but I can't find my specs

Soozy Woo

6 ft artificial - green with dusting of 'snow' and pine cones.   Lights - multicoloured - 2 sets of 240 lights, both on random light setting.  No tinsel or beads or lametta - masses of decorations of all sorts - fir cones, stars,  robins, snowmen, penguins, one of the three kings, a stained glass window, a lilac shoe with a feather trim (can you tell I'm sitting right beside it) a puppy with a santa hat, various angels, some china with bells inside and dozens of traditional balls of all colours.  Topped with an angel in a red dress with a gold overskirt and gold wings.

I do love a tacky tree.

Kaffs

My fairy on top of the tree is 32 years old (possibly older) - I would love to describe her as a vision of porcelain and lace but she's plasric and tin foil bought from Woolworths - we call her Mary Fairy and I could not bear to replace her ever - I now surround her with two beautiful white frosted stars but she has prime position.

When I'm dead and gone I have visions of my kids fighting over her for sentimental reasons - truth be told they'll probably bin her at the first opportunity cos she's about as tacky as tacky gets.

Poor old Mary.

Sooz, I've got our version of Mary Fairy ! I got custody Ours is a Woolies special too, tacky but treasured. Even if I don;t get round to putting the tree up, she'll be on show

Mine is floor to ceiling (so 6ft?) real, it..'s beautiful

a friend is a farm manager and this is his little bit on the side.  Every year he buys about 30 baby christmas trees, so every year he had about 30 to sell, he brings ours round to the house and charges about 20 quid. If we bought it from the garden centre it would be about 100 quid.

win win all round

I think she may have had a lace dress once (can't remember) - she has a round plastic face with sort of blue eyeshadow, yellow plastic hair and a gold tinsel halo (strictly speaking I guess she's an angel) the rest of her is shiny plastic silver foil sort of stuff.
