I have mine on contract...  so I don't know how much it costs..    its a lot less than the iPhone.

 

If I had unlimited funds, then I'd get an iPhone..   but I would miss the camera I have on the N8.

Its 400 pounds (pound sign broken - and so wud my bank balance)

my old phone was a nokia 5800

 

that has a really good camera too.    and is touch screen.

 

I reckon you can get one of them quite reasonably...   and probably as a refurb.

I sold it for £70 

iPhone all the way You can get the app and come on here anytime I used to have a nokia 5800 and loved it, still keep it spare actually

Daughter absolutely loves her iPhone Summer.... 

 

and there is no doubt that the touch screen is much much better on the iPhone than any of the others I have tried (hubby has a Samsung, and his work phone is an HTC)...  and I have the Nokia...    they are all clunkier than the iPhone touch screen.

 

Daughter still going through the iPhone smug stage...    its all "I've got an app for that"... and everytime the iPhone advert comes on telly.. the one that ends with "if you haven't got an iPhone then you haven't got an iPhone" she can't stop herself saying "hahahaha you haven't got an iPhone"...   or sometimes just a "Losers!" 

 

It was her 18th bday pressie...   and cost a small fortune...    but money well spent...   cos she loves it so much...   she & it are inseparable (& at times insufferable )

And yet as an iPhone user I still think it's shit!

I really wanted to not like it...      I can appreciate all that is good about hubby's phones, but not want them for me...    I was hoping I would feel like that about the iPhone..    but I don't.

 

I love Nokia's..    but they are lagging behind in the software dept...     if they can sort this out (I think they are going with the Windows OS next)  then I'll remain loyal to them.

 

I deviated once...    tempted by a pretty clamshell Motorola..    looked pretty..    but was a glitchy piece of crap that had some major issues...   such as not receiving incoming calls randomly for no reason!      I swore then...   never again would I leave Nokia 

I am most sadned by the poor response - bet your "APPS" are more responsive!!

My last phone was a Sony Ericcson W995i or something...that was good...it had an 8.1 camera..,,that was over a year ago so should be quite cheap by now.,,,

if you are not bothered about going on the internet & want a good camera go for the NOKIA c3 01 .. it has buttond and a touch screen & has a 5 megapixel camera with a flash... In fact all nokias are good for cameras... i work for virgin mobile & its a very popular choice...

My husband got a pay as you go Nokia with a camera for a tenner - it has a camera .............not particularly great but it does the job. He can send and receive calls and texts .................what more could you ask for? If you've got plenty of money and are open minded to new technology that's great. The thing is - we all have our PC's and laptops ................do we have to be joined at the hip 24/7?

yeah...   the one I had before the 5800  (be buggered if I can remember which one it was) made our little canon ixus digital camera redundant!     Each time I upgrade...   the camera gets better & better!

 

Now if they could just catch up a bit more in terms of software.... 

Just enuff time to reply - i looked at a review of that one - it sed the camera was its worst feature
