In our house, on New Years Day it was Turkey and the trimmings all over again. [ I don't know why...I suppose Turkey dinner is the big celebration dinner]. To keep with tradition, it'll be turkey again for me tomorrow...
What will you be having?

Stuffed Chicken and Smoked Ham, same as xmas It was lovely and everyone enjoyed it so why not? I'll be having it with baked potato and lots of veg because I'm starting my Slimming World diet again tomorrow. The banoffee pie for afterwards is worrying me though
Roast Lamb dinner... tis what the rabble wanted!
We're having a pork themed New Years Eve buffet though..
Crackling Pork, Char Sui Pork & slow roasted Belly Pork... along with lots of nibbles, dips & stuff...

I'm on my diet again too....soon Ells.
I figure if you consume say 6000 calories in a day, as you do over Christmas thats not the same as consuming them over a month right? It'll all go through your system quick.. How could it possibly turn to fat.
This is my theory and I'm sticking to it

last year, we were that hungover, I needed to eat to soak up all the booze....sooooooooo
we had a full English at the hotel we had stayed in, then we went to a pub for lunch (fish and chips) the hangover was still in full swing, we then went to go to the pub for round two, but it was shut, so we came home, suffered on the sofa for a while and then ate chinese chicken curry
This year, however, will be different as we are NOT going out we are both working tonight, and we have the little Gypsie to think of, so we are having vodka, wine, and party food tonight!

You're not Velvet yer only saying it to be kind What are you having?
My family tradition [ Christmas Dinner all over on New Years Day ] is weird and unique then
Fair enough, who could face turkey twice
As kids we always had a roast on New Years Day, As an adult we just have whatever is in the house.
Once the boys got old enough to party on NYE they never wanted a big dinner with all the trimmings the next day so we usually have something light like salad and jacket potatoes with quiche or something similar
Usually steak pie here..but my sis's son in law (butcher) just dropped her off half a dozen lovely steaks for tomorrow's din dins.
KaffyBaffy's sister's son in law has killed Rudolph!!!!! and dishing him up for dinner !!!!!
