It was an awful rumour going round apparently, I mustn't listen to gossips

Rumours started by trouble-makers on Farcebook, I'll be bound.  Don't listen to 'em

That's one shock I didn't have growing up, Dad put the butter on the bread before putting it on the table

But did you not get a shock the other way?. That some folk put dry bread out and butter in a butter-dish....and you buttered the bread yourself, at the table.

They were on top of each other when the Young Ones were on University Challenge. I think Vivian broke through the floor and stomped Stephen Fry or Hugh Laurie on the head.

So did my Grandmother....right up until she went in to give birth to her 1st child and freaked out when they wanted her to remove her underwear for some of the usual lookey/feeling that they do.  She wanted to know why the nurse was needing to look THERE when the baby was going to come out of her belly button.  The nurse wasn't amused and simply said it didn't go in that way and it sure as hell isn't coming out that way.

Seriously......how did my Granny get to that stage thinking it was coming out her belly button?? That would probably hurt more than the intended way!

I think I've told you lot this before but I was VERY shocked to find out that 'Point Blank Range' wasn't an actual place.  I used to wonder why people would go there because I'd always been hearing on the news how people were being shot at point blank range and I always vowed never to go there.

I was only a kid but not so young as to not catch on to what it was supposed to mean!

That I had Epilepsy

I was 9 and sitting with the rest of the kids in the school hall. Apparently they all got up to sing and I was just frozen to the spot.

Next thing I knew was I had been carted  to the changing rooms and they were splashing me with cold water

I nearly passed out with the shock, Little was known back then and all first aid comprised of splashing you with water

We only ever had margarine, and it was always spread across the bread before it came to the table, so thinly I might add, that it was the same measurement as a millionth of a human hair.
