I thought that it would be really cheesy, like Footballer's wives or summat...but I love it and can't wait to see how it unfolds

Call The Midwife, on Sunday evenings on BBC1. Best drama series for ages.

Though, why they do everything in the dark is a mystery to me 

Me too .....I end up screaming at the screen, turn the bliddy lights on...I suppose it is supposed to make us feel the effects of what Gas Lamplight would have felt like.

I'm liking that too Yogi, my niece, who I am vv close too has finally decided on a career.....she's training to be a midwife and will be 'catching' from this week

Desperate Housewives - last season ever, I really want to look up what happens, but I also like the anticipation of not knowing.

I do like The Hotel, when I remember to watch it.

And I loved Educating Essex when it was on, but not one person I asked watched it.  Did any of you lot?

Love all of them Cinds! (haven't seen the others)    I can't understand why The Good Wife is hidden away on More 4  - surely it deserves a proper place on mainstream telly?

I like lots of this mentioned here, including Criminal Intent, Law and Order UK, Hotel,  and Whitechapel...... but I am also really enjoying Masterchef In fact TV at the moment is quite good IMO

I know kaffy, it seems strangle it's all the way up there. There's been some good stuff on more4

 

(Although I did get in to it when it was shown every week day morning on C4 sometime last year.)  

I have a bit of a liking for the blonde one Phil Davis, remember seeing him in a play on stage in the late 70's, he was brilliant and later in Quadrophenia.

For those of you who watch the hotel, that mark is so like my "ex" manager.....thought mark, in comparison is kinda nice but the whole annoyingness of him, is my boss!! it makes me laugh so much watching it!

I saw a couple of them...loved it. Think a new series is about to start?

"Inside Men" is very good. 

 

As is "Whitechappel"

 

I'm going to miss "Hustle".  I never really watched it until the last series so I've definitely missed out there, although some of the plots stretch credibility slightly.

 

I've found "How to Grow a Planet" quite informative and entertaining.

Oh, the topical satirical "ten o'clock show", was good last year, but last week's show was quite poor, so hopefully it will improve in the coming weeks.

not watching much at the moment, Mrs Brown's Boys has just finished - hilarious, watched 10 o'clock live but didn't think much of it, and repeats of ER (final series)

Top Gear and Room 101 with Frank Skinner - who I never used to like but now I think is hilarious. Also American Dad... Roger the alien rocks!  

Nordic Noir. Laura Norder, inside Men, prisoner's wives. Pointless and Neighbours. We like an occasional fright and last night's Masterchef where they had a pick of fish, lobster, langoustine, and some strange stick things was particularly terrifying. More so than the poorly acted Whitechapel.

I think the reason why The Good Wife is on More 4 is that Channel 4 is a public service broadcaster but the other channels aren't. I think that as a result, channel 4 has to comply with a range of broadcasting requirements set down by OFCOM and that they have to comply with a requirement that there is a maximum number of hours of non-UK programmes. Same applies to the BBC and the other broadcasting channels which are/were on analogue TV.

Baz wins, hands down.

You should read his autobigraphy (the first one) I think he's done two. It is hilarious - not often I laugh out loud reading a book but I was in hysterics reading that. So rude but so funny!

Not a lot tbh not a big telly fan...Masterchef, Natural World and American Idol is about it at the moment!
