Our house when I was 3. In my bedroom I saw a spider. It was probably the size of a 5p but I went running downstairs with my arms stretched wide shouting "mam there's a spider and it's this big"

OMG - I remember the rag and bone man as well - coming round the roads with his horse and cart. I could never make out what he was yelling. It was just like Steptoe and Son.
My earliest memory is being in my cot and working out how to let the sides down and climbing out and my Mum coming in and looking a bit worried.

No one knows.
I was 4 years old when it happened - he used to come round every week and give balloons to all the children in the street - then one day he just didn't come back.
It wasn't til years later that my Mum told he'd been killed
