ike you I only got Lucozade or Cream Soda when I was ill as a child. Now if I have a  really bad cold/feel feverish I have a Rusty Nail. 1 1/2 oz Scotch 3/4 oz Drambuie in the one glass, down in one. Wrap up and go to bed ,brand new in the morning .It never fails
My Dad would swear by whisky in hot milk if he had a cold.
He hardly ever drank and sadly if he did not have any whisky he would just put a drop of sherry in instead

Granny's Cure-All.

This isn't quite as vile as it sounds - honest!

1 tsp Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Honey.
3 tbs hot water.

Mix together, down it in one.  Watch aches, pains, ague and all round grottiness disappear (Personally I favour the more tasty route of a large dram).

Whatever you take, I hope it works soon and that you feel better.

There used to be a product sold in the health food shops that was basically that .My Mum used to drink it because apparently cider vinegar has got properties that are good for arthritis and honey is amazingly good for the immune system.

however if its self inflicted illness then it has to be iron bru !!!
