Oddly enough although Cod is the most common in UK chippies - people round here won't touch it.

Haddock up here in Scotland for fish suppers,no cod.

I didn't know that until today

I remember first time in a chippie down south erin, I thought they'd made up half the names of the fish ! I'm going "rock?!! what's that?!"

I was in Ireland(Dumboyne) at a feis and on the way home went to the chippie and asked for a sausage supper(hadn't eaten all day) when I got back to the digs and opened it I just has a wee sausage....NO CHIPS
