I agree with Dame Tenko was one of my all time favs.

I'm not sure, but anyone who has SkyTV might already get these, but for me this is classic TV, I like them for a host of different reasons. I have been buying the odd boxset on DVD 

roots was on tele before i was born i think, but ive watched it on dvd i could just now sit and watch all about kunta kinte again it was fasinating

I never thought that someone would put TOTP in the same sentence as OGWT. I have hours n hours of the latter but very little of TOTP. Maybe Mrs Jer voted me the biggest musical snob of all time ..... Etc .

I also have a supposed irrational dislike for US TV carp.

The cop shows you mention got me through the 70's and 80's.

Although I was young, these are the things that stick with you.

I used to "tape" every episode of Miami Vice, had hundreds of tapes.

Then moved onto taping Cheers.

 

Glad it's all on DVD now.
