When my mum and then my dad died, clearing the loft and the garage, (which were stuffed full of stuff,) was an absolute bloody nightmare, it was bad enough emptying the rest of our family home, without having to do all of that too Yes, there were a few things that we kept, but all of that sorting 'through crates and trunks of stuff that hadn't seen the light of day for years and years, that had to be skipped/sent to charity shops etc. Thought of keeping some other stuff, but for what reason, to sit in our lofts for however long for someone else to have to sort through when we snuff it?
Can see your point Supes. I only have the bare minimum belonging to my parents
When my mum died I packed her clothes into a suitcase pretending she was going on holiday
I gave most of hers away to charity, just kept the last 'good' clothes she had, from when my niece got married
I left the suitcase for the boys to take to the Hospice.
