Another day of cycling including swimming in the lake, rounded off by the bloke in the Indian across the road letting us have a few beers and a couple of gaspers outside without buying a meal.

I've been very productive today I bought some new much needed new clothes, found the perfect paint tester I've been searching for, gave mr summer his anniversary gift, gave myself a facial, treated my walking boots, visited MIL, and done lots of laundry! I hope everyone has had a lovely day

Stronger than over-the-counter meds . . . and its actually working after weeks of suffering the worst symptoms ever.

I take Loratadine and it's been ok I guess. Better than having injections (as I used to have every week for six weeks prior to the hay fever season)  

As to what have I done today.....worked bloody hard as usual

Worked...bloomin hard.........came out and went for erm supplies   

We got the train to Hamburg. Met our friends. Tea and cakes at their appartyment. Walked through town buying presents, couple of beers, Rope way, Bismark, Elbe, our favourite Turkish restaurant, more beer and back to hotel for more beer. (From Lidl, 45c per 0.5l Sekt 0.90 per piccolo)

You need to get someone in to do that or you

Back on the bikes today! After I've been to the Bahnhof to buy a Grauniad.

 

Nowt yet, just got up!

But staying in all day to keep out of the heat.

Nothing much yet ... but am just off into Oxford for a walk round Christchurch Meadows, then a mooch up The High, interspersed with lots of coffee stops!

We would be doing the Crowley road and headington charity shops, followed by a trip to browns in the covered market! Did you know that there are Oxfam shops in Hannover and Hamburg but?

ahhh, no, have swigged coffee, looked at the sea and yawned a lot too. Busy morning !

 

 

A little update. So far had beans on toast, demolished a chocolate bar and watched double bills of Everybody Loves Raymond, Frasier and The Big Bang Theory. Then I will catch up with The Apprentice which I missed this week.

 

I am going to sort out and get rid of 7 years of What HiFi magazines, try and clean up my computer, sort out my sock drawer and get prepared to go out this evening for a drink with friends coming to Sheffield for the weekend.

Got plants with the sis down Rosebank.

Thanks for the tip! Meanwhile we cycled all over the place today. Then to our friends garden for a BBQ mucho food, beer, ouzo and Sekt. Later my friend produced a megaphone and we had an Adolph Hitler impression competition. I suppose you had to be there. Tomorrow we will canoe around the two rivers.
