Last night I got blotto. This morning I had two breakfasts, one in the hotel and then a birthday one in the pub!
However I must tell you that this afternoon we made a treasure hunt. It cost about 150 gbp for four of us and we were proved with small sat navs and sealed envelopes. Much as though I enjoyed the trip around Linden the Germans are still in early days for the concept. It consisted of a series of coordinates but no quiz, puzzles, clues or anything like that. The best coordinates were hidden attached magnetically to various metallic street features. When we finally found the small treasure chest (had to give it back) it contained two cheap pens, a couple of key rings and a load of cheap sweets! I foolishly said that I could do better. They've called my bluff so I will have to do one for next year!
Afterwards we celebrated the birthday a bit more with a meal and further drinks.

Made a gorgeous crumble from all the windfall .............plums, pears and apples - cooked in a little elderflower cordial and a pinch of cinnamon. Naughty but nice
