She is a beautiful woman who gets a lot of attention, and she enjoys it. Good for her!!.

She is bright and has an opinion. Good for her!!.

She should have told Shree and Marcus in no uncertain terms that she didn't fancy them. That is the only thing I can think she could have done differently.

Noirin is not arrogant, or up herself, as far as I can see. She loves to be loved or liked. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't get what she has done wrong.

I pretty much agree with you but I'm getting exhausted penning my support against hefty (but misguided) opposition. Thumbs Up

Why? Cos a lot of people are attracted to her? Why is it wrong for her to enjoy it? I have not seen her so any deliberate leading on. Not really. She should have put Marcus and Shree straight right away. That is true. But the hate for her is dis proportional to what she has done wrong.

Until recently I've kind of sympathised with Noirin's predicament regarding Marcus. What did it for me was when she started in on Siavash. Now, yes, I fully accept that Siavash has his responsibilities in this too.. but then we are talking about Noirin in this instance. It became apparent, for me, that she was essentially toying with people with no regard.

Like I've said in another thread, she started, continued and escalated things with Siavash:

knowing he had a girl (of some description, the jury is out on whether she was a GF and for how long) on the outside..
knowing she had an ex she was 'in lurve with' and who asked she didn't get up to any shannanigans in there..
knowing that she wouldn't touch Siavash with a shitty stick if she'd met him in a club on the outside..
knowing that she fancied Tom more and would '**** him every day' given the chance..
knowing that she fancied her ex more..
knowing that Siavash and Marcus had a friendship that would be damaged..
knowing that Siavash liked her.. alot.. enough to risk all he may have had on the outside..
knowing that.. as she herself said.. she shouldn't be doing what she did, because people would be hurt.. but then doing it anyway..

It is one thing to flirt and have fun.. quite another to, in her own words, be 'very manipulative' and go after what she wants and to hell with the consequences. It displays, to me, a lack of empathy and concern for the feelings of others. It also displays an amazing level of self absorption.

Well, that is certainly food for thought Tupps.Very compelling actually. I agree that she has been qiute thoughtless, and lacked empathy to think about Shiv's g/f. I have to agree with a lot of what you say on reflection, but I don't think she is calculating. I think she is selfish and as you say, lacks empathy. I can't help liking her, even though I completely see what you mean.

She's a flirt nothing wrong with that whatsoever my problem is that she leads the guys on, but the guys are enjoying it and there would probably be less criticism if it was the other way around. She's coming across as being a manipulative and she's playing with peoples feelings and emotions at times but all in all an interesting hosuemate Wink
darloboy (Play The Game!)
I've been defending the girl against the torrent of hatred towards her here.
She did tell Marcus over and over but as he said last night he is in his BB brain and nothing thinking normally.
There must be something about her that attracts them all cos it's definately not her personality. She can't be blamed for men making fools of themselves over her. They're all using each other but because Noirin was the only unattached female there it was obvious which way the game would go.

The worrying thing for me G&P is that I do think she knows and I do think she is calculating. Even more of a concern is that it seems to be second nature and just part of who she is. Admittedly, I've never warmed to her, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt on the whole flirting etc issue... Can't anymore..

I remember a conversation she had a while back with Marcus in the kitchen where she told him pretty much what the recent audition VT showed: that she is manipulative and goes after what she wants and sod the consequences to others. Couple that with her VT confession that she will be quite vicious in attacks on people (to the point of making them cry) and a 'so what' attitude.. and I'm seeing one very dubious character.

I got your back there soozy! my only thing I didn't like was she may hurt Saivash.. he very genuinely likes her and I am hoping she will grow to like him as much... he is good for her, seems to me she may be attracted to controlling bullies ( And no she never fancied Marcus)..... .. thats not Saivash.. he is the total opposite... so am hoping she see's sense!

but all in all she is not terrible, she is misguided..she has totally kept BB up and running this summer, and for that she should be applauded, not slated as she is so often on here....

I agree with you. Nothing wrong with wanting to be liked by people and craving a little attention. She SHOULD definitly have told Sree and Marcus that she didn't fancy them earlier than she did. I think Norin gets on well with guys and likes the way they make her feel which is why she gravitates towards them. She has made a lot of mistakes though and will have a hard time with the public for it.

I think she is plenty bright, but after reading Tupp's fantastic post, I think Noirin is quite self centered. I still like her, but she is very selfish.

I dont think shes the big villain shes being portrayed as, but could handle the male attention in a more appropriate manner. Part of me believes she doesn't realize the effect she has on men, but should be aware of it by now Confused

That's what I used to think..

I just thought she hadn't any real capacity to control her 'allure' and that she was perhaps a little naive. That she had this sexual power and really didn't know what to do with it or how to handle it.

Having seen a little more of her, I really don't think that's the case. She has a 'power' which she could choose to use for good or evil, responsibly or irresponsibly. She chooses the latter in both.
