What's that whitish film on them?
Did you keep them this long for an experiment, or do you only sort your fridge out every three months or so?!!!

I'm not sure what the film or dust is that covers the grapes, could well be part of the decomposition process.
No Rexi, I don't sort it out every three months or so, they have indeed been left in there as an experiment. I was expecting by now that there would be a mold on them, but I can't see any as yet.

It's called bloom. However if the grapes get wet and/or damaged it will become fluffy mould. If they aren't already mouldy give them a good wash and if they aren't damaged or a bit dried and wrinkly they should be OK.
Note it is a 'Best Before' date, not a 'Use BY' date.
EAT THEM EAT THEM EAT THEM EAT THEM etc...

I'm just going to 'observe them' for as long as I can be bothered or until they turn into currants, raisins or whatever their eventual form may be (alien creature).
When they start waving at you everytime you open the fridge, that's the time to dump them!
Nooooooooooo! Please don't eat them, i understand the best before thing and i often eat fruit (Toms especially) a week or two past this date but 3months is a big NONONO!

I've had many a comment on this one, on here

I wouldn't normally, but quite tempted. Let's see how they look in June or July.
BTW Jen I checked out the art work of Laura.
might you not tread carefully on them and produce a fine wine?
or i'll tread on them-my toes will make the snobby wine tasters say...'its a cheeky little number with a well rounded flavour-the grape has been nutured, as an afterthought it has a lovely jammy taste (that'll be me treading the grapes)

Another excellent idea, except I don't like wine.

But they've been in the fridge Jen. This slows down the natural deterioration!

I dunno, if you'd seen the ones in our fridge at work that I threw out today to make room for something else

Would you actually eat them then?

Certainly contemporary and I got a Banksy feeling for some of them. I'm not sure her pieces would be ones I would purchase myself but I can see she has a set of themes and motifs used throughout. I had a brief look and bookmarked for another longer viewing. Good link though, always interested in art. As to whether I like them I would want to spend a bit more time.

Yes, as long as the stuff I said before worked out OK.
I mean, how did we get on before they started putting these dates on everything?
I kind of agree with Fluffers, except that these grapes have clearly been sprayed with something to make them last like this, so no, I wouldn't eat them, and I would get them out of my fridge pronto.

I'm going for the long term observation experiment. You never know, they could become a new lifeform.!!!!
Are they going grey like you EC?

They are sealed Baz (probably for the best)
I've not poked them for fear of antagonising them.

Update 16: One of the grapes tried to communicate with me today - I quickly squashed the conversation.
