This song was written by Michael Marra...from my hometown too. Hue and Cry jazzed it up too much for my taste. I prefer Michael`s version but either way the lyrics are moving...
Scotty, I absolutely love 'Mother Glasgow' and that video is reminiscent of so many childhoods and aspects of the city. Thanks for posting it x
I have heard of Michael Marra - but I don't know from where. I didn't know he wrote 'Mother Glasgow' - clever man.

Michael Marra IS a genius Scotty! I enjoyed that. I checked out his website and heard a little snippet of Beefhearts and Bones and some other songs of his. He's superb
