What was your band called Scotty ?
It was a local band slim, it wasn`t my band. I was one of the backing singer who did the occasional lead song. They were very good - brass section and two great lead male singers.. One of them (Dougie Martin) was quoted by Alan Gorrie of the Average White Band, as his influence.
They worked together for years but Dougie didn`t want to risk of giving up his day time job.
Then AWB made it. Dougie still plays - he`s tremendous. He should have been a star. He`s happy though.

Not really slim. I wasn`t ambitious enough tbh. I suppose it was the dilemma, if that`s the right word, of working away from home and being a Mum. After working away from home (From Europe to Saudi) and making a great living, I realised that, although I could give my boys a comfortable life, I wasn`t there..so I decided to change that. I don`t regret it for a minute.   I`ve done tv and radio ads, worked with the best musicians and theatre companies in Scotland and beyond, done my bit. I`m still singing with a fab funk jazz band slim. I`m happy.
Oops! sorry for the long reply about me me me. I got a bit carried away.
