I had to seek this one out because I heard it recently and it is one song which ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS takes me back to when I was a girl - too young to serve alcohol but employed to collect and wash glasses in a Glasgow west-end pub. Time of my life and an education! It is not even that the video or the lyrics are especially poignant, but as a piece of music this song always washes me in nostalgia and contented memories of a fantastic time. Anyway, sorry about the big build-up; I just thought I would share...

Larry Williams - Slow Down
cheesy 80s songs on channel five's 1985 Top of the Pops. Phil Collins and Phil Bailey
Watching that 80s Top of the Pops reminds me just how dire the mid 80s were for music.
Jackie Wilson - Haunted house
Jimmy Jones - Good Timin'
The Ventures - Walk, don't run
The Coasters - Poison Ivy
Oddly enough I listened to the Pink Faries version of Walk don't run last night. Today I have listened to Monster by Steppenwolf.
