Oh I'd love to see that! Some in different series have been good at the Argentine Tango but Flamenco would be a really good test

Yeah! And those who could pull off the Argentine Tango normally went the furthest! But Flamenco would a) be a great test of skill b) provide the comedy dances of the series, provided it was performed earlier in the series so we didn't get the stupid support voting that happens and someone good gets thrown out too early.

Oh I agree, all that quick flicking of intricate footwork isn't easy unless they have a natural ability for dance, timing and rythm. There are some reality shows I wish the public weren't allowed to take part in, leave it to the experts who know what they're talking about. The public get too involved with personal likes and dislikes of a celeb sometimes which is why those with at least potential go too early.

Nice idea Yella!  Fact is, a talent show where no-one watching could influence the result would be a financial no-go for a TV network. Mind you, could you imagine how the social networks would spiral out of control!

Yep true that shows now rely on the public spending their money to help make them profits, I stopped falling for that a looong time ago   Phone calls or not whoever wins whatever reality show there's no way all the public would agree, will never happen that's for sure

When it comes to music I am a diverse creature. It just so happens that the other night I was enjoying a series of Latin tunes with Xochi. Tonight, after a long day at work I need something which has a raw aggressive energy to it. I need synthesisers and metronomic drums, after all I will be listening to this whilst undertaking kitchen duties (washing the pots).

The first thing that popped into my head was a track by Skinny Puppy. Oh yes, that's the ticket, just what I need. But wait, the track only lasts 7:02, I will need something else because I can't wash pots in that short period of time. EC hunts for a suitable second track...

What have we here, something I have never heard before, my interest is engaged, I add it to the playlist and retire to the kitchen.

Jake Bugg, who just didn't win new breakthrough act at the Brits as I think he should.

Is this a cover?

I feel like I have heard this before (and not recently).

It feels HEAVILY influenced by 60's singer songwriters.

He has, I think unnecessarily, been compared to Bob Dylan. Good call though Enthusibilities!

Interesting and quite fortunate for me, but when I wrote the above to you I was going to draw a comparison to Bob Dylan, but decided upon 60's singer songwriters instead. Now there is honest for you

I am being forced to go out and have a couple of drinks with a friend tonight (Friday), so I will get back to you on your question Xochi. Although I have already had one listen.

Erin,

This is extremely coincidental, but when I decided to help you out and provide an antidote, the song I selected was preceded by an advert. The advert was that woman singing I Dreamed a Dream -

I could not believe the odds!

Now, to get you back on the straight and narrow, I need you to listen to this 5 times in succession. Then three times a day for the next week.
