I have been listening to some Delia Derbyshire tonight. This won't be everyone's cup of darjeeling but I like it, then I am into this kinda stuff anyway. 1968 !
This is the kind of tune that had me hooked on Blancmange (not the wobbly stuff!). It fed my appetite for electronic dance music. Not a tune that strays very far from it's original idea, but it works for me.
Hands up if you remember this tune. I bet you do when you hear it.
Only because I am about to buy the soon to be released complete score to the film and Peter Griffin uses it for comedic effect in Family Guy.

For me that is one of life's unanswerable questions. There are too many bands who's output I like to ever make comparisons or decide that one is slightly better than the other.
Also, I like to use different styles of music at different times. I go through phases of music as well.
