If this does not get your head nodding at the very least you must be.
Mose Allison RIP

Many Happy Returns EC One I think we both like...
Cheers Velvet.
It certainly is on I adore. Just recently bought the massive 5CD/1DVD super deluxe box set and followed that up with the album on vinyl (again) this time the Abbey Road half speed master. I probably own this album about 6 times in various guises!!!
But I do love it and is one of my all time faves. Did I ever tell you the story of how this album lost me a potential girlfriend?

No, I don't think so. But I'm sure you're the one that got away and not the dashing damsel

To cut a long story short, I went on a date, was drinking in a pub when the NGD album came on. I was only half paying attention to the girl in question, mainly listening to Simple Minds. About 3 tracks in I went to the bar, not to get a drink but to ask the bartender what the album was. He told me, we chatted through the next track before I went back to my date.
Next day I went out and bought it. Never heard from the girl again.
"A proper introduction."

Life can be so weird. Only recently did I blind-buy a couple of Richter CD's. If they are anything like ^ then I will be more than justified in my purchasing decision.
I think I have only ever posted one Goldfrapp song, despite being a bit of a fan of them. For some reason this song always makes me think 'Marc Bolan' !!??!
Matt Johnson (The The) made a series of albums I just played to death. High time I played some for you good folks of the 'What'cha Listening to' thread.
Come on, press the little white triangle.
Up there with my favourite SM songs.
Now, where is that hairbrush?
Seeing as they just released a compilation of sorts.
You Can't Touch This
I have decided to base my new years look on the drummer. Sans hair of course.
I only like the first 12 seconds of this.
Something about this song. Love it, seems far too sleazy in a great way.
This is what the lads come out to for the second half.
better than the original?

In my opinion Pirate no. I think it would be hard to beat the original.
It's probably the repetitive nature that brought it to mind, but following "On the Nature of Daylight" I just had to dig this out.
The Cello arrangement has always been my favourite, and this performance is particularly good.
My favourite Madonna song, although I'm not much of a fan
