A nice bright morning and this song felt like a perfect accompaniment to my pottering around.
I'm not an Adele fan and was not best pleased when I heard she was chosen for the Bond soundtrack, but I have to say that the song has quite grown on me.
A surprisingly pleasant jazzy number.
Everyone needs a bit of Shaft now and again!
Yes, I own that very same cassette and it has the same sticker too.

Have you heard the "rejected" Radiohead theme for Spectre?

I have just listened to it. Although I like the music I find the vocals too lethargic and the words need to be clearer. Still, tidy up the vocals and make a few small changes to the structure of the music and that would have been a good theme.
Thanks for that CS
I have been listening to Bjork's version of 'You Only Live Twice'.

Re. Radiohead
Make such significant changes and you may as well use a different band lol
I do rather like the Bjork interpretation â though not my favourite of the numerous versions.

I see what you mean and I guess it's quite hard to write down exactly what I mean, but when I listen to it I can hear the basis of a good some, but as it is the form is not quite right for a Bond theme. I happened to come across a website which was very split on the song.
I have downloaded it for free (legally) and plan to stick it on my iPod and give it a few more listens.
There is one Radiohead song I used to play a lot, but don't own it and can't remember the title... oh, hang on, is it called Pyramids?
I will go look, listen and post it for you CS.
It's called 'Pyramid Song' CS.
I think this is a brilliant song.

Yea that's a nice tune - not heard it in ages!
If the rumours are correct I expect we'll be listening to Lemmy over the next few days.
It's true,sadly
RIP John Bradbury - drummer in the Specials - legend in a legendary band!
Just heard that Guru Josh has died aged 51 - three musicians in one day !!
Early version of Nelson Mandela with John Bradbury on drums. I wonder if a pop song has ever really achieved anything as positive in the real world as this one.
Hardly anyone had heard of Nelson Mandela in the UK at the time.
Sock it to 'em JB!

RIP John Bradbury
Miles Davis - trumpet, Thelonious Monk - piano & Milt "Bags" Jackson - vibraphone; a pretty decent front-line for any ensemble; recorded 24th Dec 1954.
