The first time I heard this song is was by Rotary Connection featuring Minnie Riperton. Loved it ever since and I also own the Nuyorican Soul version as well.

EC, didn't know this version and after hearing it I can't decide which I like the most, either way, thanks for this reply and I'm definitely going to add this to music. Thanks for posting!

Carnelian

There's something in your soul that makes me feel so old
In fact I think I've died about six hundred times
There's less of me now and more of me then
I'm moving back to the age of men
Jump off the tarmac there's no stagecoach speed limit
Outside the office hangs the man on the gibbet
Soft lenses
Grow to glasses
Small world
Dimly seen through cataracts
Your program
Newspaper
So they say
Rumour spread by word of mouth
Jump onto the escalator
Press the button on the lift
Raise the dust on old stair carpets
Endless treads like waves of regret
Now it seems I'm going madder
Falling off this rotting ladder
Soft lenses
Grow to glasses
Small world
Dimly seen through cataracts
Jump onto the escalator
Press the button on the lift
Raise the dust on old stair carpets
Endless treads like waves of regret
Now it seems I'm going madder

Outside the office hangs the man on the gibbet
Jump off the tarmac there's no stagecoach speed limit
Outside the office swings the man on the gibbet

Your welcome.

That is the beauty of a thread like this for me, I have found a number of songs posted by FM's that I was pleased to be made aware of, Velvet Donkey has turned me onto a couple to name an FM. In fact I'm going to post it.

A few years ago I was spending a great deal of time hanging out with a girl and this song came into my life, it became 'her' song.

At the time I wanted to paint the stars for her.

Oh dear, I'm getting emotional just writing this and hearing the song - time for some Front 242 to change my mood.

BTW, does anyone else feel that Jimi Tenor is channeling Prince in the vocals?

This is my last post of the evening. Last week I was hunting for something to listen to whilst at work on my computer, I wanted music that did not make me sing or pull my attention away from my computing. I found Nordic Ambient. Although I have never seen the show, this is what I would imagine is played in Game of Thrones episodes.

Anyway, it's ambient, dark and I think very good. I'm kinda hooked on it.

You might like this? It's the Vikings series 3 soundtrack.... You should watch all of The Vikings too! (Spoilers possibly in the song titles/comments)

 So I've heard Jen.

I've listened to some of the Vikings soundtrack you posted before and quite liked it.
