No Jen, I can't say I have, but I've just given her (above video) a listen. I do like paired down tunes, especially voice and piano. Further listening will be required.
Have you listened to Grimes? No the same as Lapsley, but interesting non the less. Will try and dig up a video and drop below.
Jen.
Interesting.. I liked it a bit better once it got going, the beginning was a little to 'out there' for my taste

I like the 'out there' bit
RIP Ian McLagan
Levi Stubbsâs acapella was the most feared by many of the other Motown performers. Smokey Robinson once said the performers used to go to house parties for acapella contests and the winner would win the money collected. Whenever the Four Tops showed, they knew the contest was over!
Our music preferences are almost polar opposites EC!
Quite possibly. I have a very eclectic taste in music which ranges from the far out and challenging to the popular and more mainstream, but I do tend to like music which is a bit more challenging. One day I may post my collection when I get it in an electronic format, it will require a lot of typing as my collection is approaching 5000 records of all types, shapes and sizes.
You can then try spotting music we have in common
As I have just been music shopping I thought I would post a track from the Pixies latest release, a 3 CD release of Doolittle - Doolittle 25.
Gorgeous song.
Great vocalist
One of my favourites.
