context.. my grandma had 4 daughters and my mother was the one in bondage (ie an abusive relationship (at the time)) this song always reminds me of my grandma who passed tomorrow a year ago xx
This is so a moment in my life in one track (cant find a decent version)
Ummm so I'm going down memory lane here with Keane and Cold play.. wont post them all, i shall spare you all... but I'm having lots of fun
I love that REM song Sprout.. reminds me of a summer when i was a kid and my mom and dad were 'doing relief' in a pub in west brom. over the summer hols... to me its good times
Jen - hope you spot this message.
I tend to notice your posts because I think we have quite different tastes with the odd overlap (I do listen to most of the songs you post). I was however very surprised to see you "liked" my post by The The. I would be interested to know if it's just that song you like or the music of The The in general.
Anyway I've been trying to think of song which may fall into your sphere of interest. Bearing that in mind I've posted a really nice song by Nick Heyward called Kite.
Either way I like to read your thoughts.
EC...
I love this song and especially the mute trumpet.
How could i not notice this EC lol All the wavey Avis
That The The song, i just liked the lyrics never heard of them before and they're really not my cup of tea but i liked the 'story' I am very much a message/story person when it come to music (well most of the time, i do like some really rubbish bubblegum pop too )
I like the Kite one

It's the only way I could think of getting your atention.
Yes, Matt Johnson (he is The The) does like to have a story in his songs, he can also get quite political too.
I liked Kite from the first time I heard it.
This song In The Year 2525 was probably one of the earliest songs I remember which seemed to tell a story, which incidentally I feel is quite dark and some of the lines feel quite prophetic.
Ok here is a real curve ball... i used to really like Korn (children of the Korn Album)for a little when i was 15/16. I'm pretty sure it was a phase lol as listening to them again i'm

Yeah I can do Korn. Not a band I've listened to but I have listened to similar and like this sort of energy to the music.
*EC goes to look for similar*
Slightly frustrated by the fact that I saved a song to my YouTube watch later section quite a while ago and now it seems to have taken upon itself to temove dozens of watch later bookmarks Grrrrrrr.
Worst thing is I can't remember the name of the band/artist.
If were talking Kylie then it has to be slow.
