To be honest I have never paid for any. All my downloads have been from free vouchers. I have got a ÂĢ65 voucher each time I bought an iMac. But to be honest I am a CD purchaser. I prefer the physical item.

Over the last few weeks I have bought a shed load of Miles Davis and other Jazz CD's for between ÂĢ3.99 and ÂĢ5.99. The most was a double cd at ÂĢ7.99. And these are not on unknown labels, they are the proper label releases.

I reckon I have 30+ Miles Davis cds collected from the mid-90’s onwardsâ€Ķ and almost that many by John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk. At times I simply can’t get enough Be-bop, Hard-Bop and Post-bop!

However, over the last few months I have bought a few albums from iTunes – but somehow they don’t represent (to me at least) good VFM.

Clearly you like your Jazz . I added a couple of Monk, Mingus and Blakey albums too which I did not mention.

I'm just filling in a few holes in my listening knowledge being that they are so cheap.

Do you delve into artists like Don Cherry and Ornette Coleman? I looking out for a bit of Sun Ra too.

I struggle with free-jazz in general but hugely enjoy listing to the "out"put of 60's Blue Note artists such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson and several others...
