So ive walked to little tesco to dutifully panic buy stuff, ive tidied and cleaned, even washed the floors. Ive played with the rabbits in the snow, ive done the washing.... now im thinking what else is there to do when you are snowed in *whistles innocently* I did have the foresight to panic buy some wine and there is a nip in the air

I'm at work, the downfall of working for yourself. Although on the upside we closed on Monday, and closed half days Tuesday and yesterday. Yesterday we went sledging down Cow Hill in the town, absolutely brilliant fun, it's made me want to buy a snowboard, but they need to get a ski lift put on there it was flippin hard work walking back up in a blizzard.
I would panic buy wine for tonight but I'm going swimming at 8.30

I tend to be anxious about having enough stuff in the house, even for an ordinary bank holiday, so I stock up as if for a siege.
But the extent of this snow has caught me by surprise.
So while staring at my bottles and worrying about if I have enough - I forgot the milk!

there was no milk or bread in my local shop, it seems you had to be up at 6am to get the best panic buys in
what I want to know is why does everyone panic buy milk and bread? Not what I would consider essentials

Its totally crazy isnt it and tomorrow it will probably all be thawed (here anyway) and they will have cupboards of bread that will go mouldy. I panic bought some chocolate, beans and eggs as well.... I went mad under all the pressure
Hubby and I went to do some Christmas shopping, followed by the weekly grocery shopping. Just the normal shopping, not panic buying.
I did notice there was hardly any bread left on the shelves - I don't know if that meant people had been panic buying, or if the delivery driver hadn't managed to get to the store.

Good luck with that, everywhere was sold out when I went out trying to buy some on Monday, ended up ordering a pair of moonboots off ebay. Finally after 30 years of wanting some I am getting some moonboots

Nah - it's the same here... they were trying to buy six loaves at a time in Sainsbury's yesterday - but they were being rationed to two. It's mental.

I took some pics of the dog in the garden - not that he wanted me to. I got a nice one of him running off and showing me his bum

We have over two feet of snow so ,we have been digging each other clear since early yesterday.
We have ten houses in the Grove and the schools are closed ,so the kids have been helping, and loving it.
Each side of the road running down the Grove looks like a Taboggan run today.

I managed to get into the office for a meeting first thing this morning, and have been working at home this afternoon. As I work from home most of the time, the snow doesn't make much difference to me

my lovely relaxing snow day has ended in a warm bath and snugly jammies in bed with the lap top and a nice bottle of (finally started) red wine! ....I did well, i nearly drank it at lunchtime
I went to work....
My daughter tried to buy me one loaf of bread from Sainsbury;s today but they had none cos all the stupid greedy gits have caused a shortage with their panic buying!
i only wanted one loaf which is what i buy everyday!
