nothing at all really
Been for a walk in the rain, watched Midsummer Murders, Rosemary and Thyme, read about a week's worth of papers, (lost) loads of WWF.
What have you got up to this bank holiday Monday?

Sweet Fanny Adams.
I've had a belter aswell
Well done velvet
I just love days like this
Much the same, Rexi.. lay in... played online.. watched some recorded telly.. read a bit.. played a bit.. watched a bit.. spent an hour with my Dad.. spent an hour with my sister... back in my jammies and watching telly now. Bliss.
about the same as you Rexi.... I made a roast dinner earlier and that's the sum total of energy I have exerted today
oh and I renewed my car insurance on the phone.. got them down by ÂĢ20 and reduced the excess by E150. Result.
Sorted through a load of stuff in the gym/spare bedroom ready to start decorating soonish - held together the wardrobe bits while Mr woo put it together.
Took my mum over to see my daughters new house and we both nervously balanced a cup of tea in bare feet (lots of cream and white ) Felt like Mrs Buckets neighbour! Nipped into Sainsburys and Poundland - got some seeds, mini green house and latex gloves (got a cut on my finger).
Mr woo is at the driving range - I'm watching BGT and it's chalk pops (pork chops) for dinner very soon.
Quite a nice day - thanks for asking Rexi .
Incidentally the weather is grim

oh, and I did hoochie's big switch thing.
I'm fair worn out actually
Sounds lovely Rexi.
Unfortunately, I have to go along with my lovely carers, morning and evening, so I don't feel altogether relaxed, but I had a nice day yesterday by telling them to stay away because my daughter was coming over. She wasn;t, but blessed relief.

it does feel like work - we deserve to put our feet up with a glass of something. Oh wait... already doing that....

It did. I do it every Sunday, it's a bit like getting away from the nuns in my convent school.
I almost forgot - I fitted in a wee snooze too..
read loads of books with Olivia (she always as her head in a book
and Ashton was just happy being twirled around in a computer chair
I drove my son back to uni. There are sooooo many slow drivers out there on a bank holiday! Why do people feel the need to go 35 in a 60???
I need the trivial thread!

How's he feeling Ducky, is he better?

I really miss some of the really young kiddies books ... going on a bear hunt, little rabbit foo foo ...
I feel a thread coming on
Well the NHS don't give us a holiday at the beginning of May (or at least not in Scotland) so I was at work. Not that I was there for very long, or achieved very much.

Poor Fluffers
But it looks like you were as busy as the rest of us!
Its been a bit boring today actually.
Oh didn't make it to work because the mechanic hadn't worked on the van even though it was left in 5 days ago (that's another for the trivial thread) so no work for him today or tomorrow and maybe not even the next day. So I got to look at the OHs grumpy mug all day.
Kids haven't been out much because it's been raining.
Made a chicken curry for dinner and just bathed the youngest and now waiting for the eldest to come in (he decides to go out and play just as I'm running the bath!) and will do his bath then watch The Wire!
How's he feeling Ducky, is he better?
Pretty much Rexi thanks
He still has a bit of pain from time to time, but only in short bursts. He has an appointment at the hospital in June to have a closer look "up there" Bless him

Glad he's better and back at uni ... I wish I didn't know that his problems were "there" though

He feels the same way Rexi! I keep getting told off for giving people too much info.
This picture isn't entirely on topic... but it made me giggle....and this is a good a place as any to post it
Cut the lawn and then been watching the snooker and my *future * hubby won he doesn't know about being my hubby yet
I'm late to this thread, but I have important questions to ask:
1. Why was it a bank holiday? (what is being celebrated?)
2. What's a picnic bar?
3. What's a crunchie?
*wanders off to find an entire cake...*
Mayday Bank holiday ................the first Monday in May.
picnic and crunchies are the two best chocolate bars IMO. Crunchie is chocolate coated honeycomb and a picnic is a thin wafer covered in a knobbly coating of nuts and raisins.
