I think some of that is about developing "taste". Getting older means you have life experience and can dismiss the irrelavent and trivial.

 

As for moving from Radio 1 to Radio 2, I made the jump straight to Radio 4. Radio 1 for me died with John Peel. Most of the DJ's since are sh*te. I can't remember the fat bloke from Weeds, but hated him from day 1 (ah just remembered - Moyles).

 

I do like a bit of Radio 2 and often dip into Radio 3.

 

I have no problems with technology - it makes up a large part of my job  

 

I do use the line "in my day" from time to time. Especially when comparing chocolate bar sizes and prices

#1 made me   I think it depends which sex you are as to whether it's a hinderance.....
