that there has been a trend for me to get pressies that are almost the thing I wanted...    but either a wrong version, or colour, or size, enough to make it a "smile & say thank you & sob quietly on the inside" event...

Bizarrest pressie of the day...       a bucket of KFC, wrapped up under the tree..     for Ickle, from my bro & his gf.    Cos she told them she had always wanted a KFC bucket where she could just eat all the skin all to herself - Cartman from South Park style 

Ickle got MrD a Sea Otter Calendar...   and he loves it!

 

 

MrD normally does very well from me...    less so this year...     my mind must have been elsewhere cos I bought him the (boring) rechargeable batteries he'd asked for..   but forgot to get him the charger HAHAHAHAH

I have a stinking cold...    so am unable to smell the candle or either of the perfumes at the moment...      So I keep making other people sniff them & tell me how nice they are

My family don't know my forum name, you know... but I got TWO pairs of identical baffies   (fluffy ones that look like baby UGGS)   My lovely, but slightly dopey sister told my bro to get me some when he asked for ideas - then she forgot - and she bought them too.   I don't even wear baffies normally, but these are toastie!     Also got a jumper, perfume, foot treatment stuff, sweets, handbag, a bangle (that's horrible and I'll never wear - my sis got one the same and we just looked at each other) couple of tops, a few CDs, vouchers for Next and Itunes, a scarf - did very well.. there may be more, that's from memory - I've not unpacked the bags yet. 

 

I got exactly what I asked for... nothing.

 

 

OK, I lied, my Mum bought me a box of Lindt chocolates (I like them a lot), although I did not ask for them so technically I did not lie.

 

But really that was the only gift.

I got some Escape by Calvin Klein. .I haven't had a bottle of new, decent perfume in yrs. .it's mahoosive too. .am chuffed to bits. .all my old perfume is brown and old and stinks and should have been thrown away a long time ago... .

 

I got some chocolates and a tin of biscuits as well and a handmade Xmas tree bauble with my name on it ..very nice but I don't do trees so it's just hanging on a knob and appears to be amusing the cat. .  I got 4 pressies this year so that's a huge haul for me in comparison to recent yrs. . 

 

not being able to spend much nor go to shops, I possibly poisoned my long suffering friends by making them  all Xmas puddings and Rum Truffles.. 

 

my doggy friends got chewy bones, not made by me..

I got a Kindle fire from Lil Aims which is exactly what I bought her her face was priceless when she opened hers she also bought me a new phone

I even had a neighbour and my adopted her doggy call in for some mulled wine and home made Xmas cake, earlier in the day plus my mate and his missus and their doggy popped in later on, on their way for their Xmas meals at his mums place. .  and they all stayed just long enough for me to not get too anxious about being around people for any length of time as I am unused to it..

 

then I battened down the hatches and settled in to carve a mahoosive stuffed turkey with all the trimmings, like my mum used to make back in the day when I had some family and a partner to share Xmas with and I was relatively normal as far as being social and being around people,  and twas all for me me me .. the thing still looks turkey shaped and most will be frozen but you can't do it proper with a size for one you have to have a huge turkey to get the whole effect and proper taste. . just as well I love it lots and lots
