This was ours on May 15th 1993 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...&feature=related
Ooooh how appropriate as Ive just celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary on Friday and have been thinking about my wedding day and looking at all the piccys again...
Our 1st dance was 'You Needed Me' by Boyzone
It should have been 'Come in out of the rain' by Wendy Morton really and I don't know why I didn't choose it at the time. The words to that song are just puuurrrrfect!!! I cry everytime I hear it but I loved the Boyzone song at the time too...
I need to go and listen to it now lol

My first wedding which was doomed to failure , the first dance was On the wings of love by Jeffery Osbourne....
My second wedding was in Gretna green with the love of my life and the kiddies, our reception was eating a chinese take away in a remote cottage, and then having rude secs while listening to Nick Cave

This whole first dance thing is a relatively new phenomenon ................I have been married for thirty two years and we certainly didn't agonise over what should be our first dance - as it happens the DJ chose \Amouresuse by KiKi Dee .............................I just happen to have a good memory and remember that ...........actually it was a really good choice.
I love the whole first dance thingy though .............my sister recently got married and the had 'Come What May' from Moulin Rouge .......beeeeeeoooootiful.

I'm still baffled by Charli's Walking in the Air
Anyway if I ever get married I want summat dead soppy that I can be dragged around the floor to cos I intend to be absoluely plastered. Smack my bitch up would be a good one.
I'm 25 yrs married in November. We had a local band playing and the first song was The Wedding Song...............'You by my side that's how I see you, your hand in mine happy and smiling' etc.
Lovely choice and in those days the Bride and Groom had to make the big exit so everyone could cry. Everyone made a tunnel and we had to walk underneath it kissing everyone and the song they were playing was 'It's a Lesson to Late for the Learning'...........................

Our wedding wasn't quite like that. The first song that was played was WEdding Song by BOb Dylan, followed by Flesh and Blood by Ted Nugent. There was certainly no dancing involved at any time during the day

Lou Reed's perfect day. It was a song played on our first date and it really was such a perfect day, and the day we got married was 12 years to the day after we first got together so it was lovely having it as our first dance
what wasn't lovely was the dancing

Ours was Atlantic Star and "always"

I'd have Hawkwind*
We had lots of Hawkwind. And Black Sabbath, Van der Graf Generator, and AC/DC.
Times were hard. We had a registry office do, and back to our house. We all played football on the field behind our garden.
However I go along with Growlybear the theme tunes to our early days were indeed VdGG, Hawkwind, David Cassidy Caravan and so forth.

'I wouldn't normally do this sort of thing' by the Pet Shop Boys. Neither of us are dancers really lol

Multiples!
I know, and I wasn't even trying!
Not strictly a first dance, we didn't do any dancing at all. But we had Abba 'I do, I do, I do' his choice not mine.
I love that he chose Abba Cinds
We didn't have a dance, we didn't have any music or owt...we all just went back to a local hotel for an afternoon of vodka and sausage rolls. We're classy like that.
