Strong to gale force winds for Scotland (60-80mph)and parts of Nothern England,It's really blustery here just now (Glasgow) and I've just finished staking and tying up the plants in the garden.May has been rubbish so far after April being so nice and warm.

) mostly depend upon gaffer tape and No More Nails 
Yea and it's new soft growth on some of the plants just now so there will be some damage.
I hope the bad winds don't make the volcanic ash from Iceland's volcano any worse, as the airports are still shut.

OMG!!!!!!! I've just ordered one of those. I guess we'd better batten down the hatches!
We've had it bad here for a month now and we've had high winds for days, most of the lanes look like autumn with the leaves on the floor....
I've thought about getting one of those plastic 4 shelf mini greenhouses,to try and grow tomatoes etc,however up here we do get windy weather quite often ,so I always think it will take off etc.I'd need loads of bricks to hold it down.

Well it doesn't take much to interfere with a SKY dish....ours is bolted to the front path,when the window cleaner arrives that's the signal fecked for ten mins or so.
It's been really windy here today and next doors plastic greenhouse went over, all her pots and plants over turned 
Best not take my 'windproof' brolly out with me then.
We've jumped from July in April to November in May
I'm off to batten down the hatches.

That's where they went wrong, they got Special Uplift OK but not the sort provided by the council

Locally, it's rubbish collection day, and on my way walking to the post office, I was retrieving recycling boxes which had been blown into the road by the wind.
I timed it just right though as within a few minutes of getting back home, it has started to pour and an umbrella in this wind wouldn't last a second.

I am gutted I am about to lose my Kilmarnock,its ripped from the ground .
I have experienced winds like this, but its usually in January!!
