Newcastle - according to the forecast we should wake up to a covering of snow 
Same for South Lanarkshire Saint, but since we have persistently got weather that is a degree or two LESS than what was forecast throughout the day, I am not expecting the reality to be much trouble.

It is cold, a little windy with a small amount of rain.
According to the weather forecast we could see a lot of snow overnight.
West of Scotland - wet, windy, freezing cold and we've already had a flurry of snow.

Had some heavy rain just now, crazy mad, hard rain, the kind that would give you a headache if you were in it. So pleased I'm in the house in my lounge wear.
We've just had the biggest flash of lightening I've ever seen! It was followed by a big roar of thunder and it's snowing.
Scared the bejesus right out of me.
Cold and windy. Snow in the way. Cars and bikes in the garage. Tees Valley.

West of Scotland - When I said it was too wet for the snow to lie, I was wrong! Got a couple of inches of snow and it is windy, too.
A light dusting of snow in the Tees Valley.

I've gritted our driveway and could hear it crackling as the ice melted

Got up to get the kids to school....snow everywhere. Not just a wee dusting but a good lot.
Went back to bed and when I got up there was none

Well, we awoke to the prophesied snow. Which was really the same snow as had fallen before we went to bed. The afternoon was sunny and just about all of the snow has gone again!
