Well I’m exhausted after all that and having to work (at home) was challenging. So Mumbles where I live  recorded the highest gust at 88 mph and there’s been a lot of trees and fences and roof tiles down. Some idiot went for a dip and the local rescue services were furious. Hope you are all warm and safe

I can well imagine Amythist ….I feel exhausted and it’s been nowhere near as stressful as your day …..but we made it through And yes, some idiots tried to go for a swim up here too …until they were told to get out of the water !

Relative to a lot of other places we have had a calm day. Sleet shower early on then rain showers throughout the day and fairly gentle winds. It's bitterly cold though!

And if I have to tell people to state the area where they live (for the benefit of my shocking memory - if for no other reason) then I shall become most aggrieved. I may strike out if provoked

Newcastle - we got off lightly, no sleet snow that they seem to want us to have, winds were bad but nothing worse than previous. Hoping Sunday passes by likewise

Lanarkshire, SCOTLAND.

Snow overnight, but only amounted to 1/4 of an inch. It's all gone now as after a few rain showers it has been dry with sunny periods. Clouding over now, but there's nothing untoward forecast for the rest of the day. Winds between 40 and 50 mph are forecast from early Sunday morning to mid Monday morning, but that's nothing more than expected at this time of year.

Yesterday morning was as bad as Friday and then it calmed a little to 50/60 mph and that’s what we have till Monday teatime…noisy gales and driving rain…..no respite to sort out the uprooted and snapped trees in my garden…..not the big ones thankfully. Landscapers and roofers are quids in A brick wall was smashed down by the local park….and sewage pouring out into the sea which is bringing in lots of plastic debriis too. Hope you are all safe and warm
