Still snowing in the West Midlands
Moonie I met a friend for lunch in Birmingham City Centre and there was nothing but slush at 1pm. Came out at 3pm and the place was covered in snow - luckily I got a bus straight away and got home within 20 minutes cos all the buses have started to slow down as its snowing very heavily.
It has been snowing non stop for hours now here in Gloucestershire
mixed bag of weather here this morning - minus something or other - certainly one of the coldest mornings so far - three small snow showers and now the sun is shining

Thick, heavy snow here in Dublin, bit of a pandamonium on the roads, drivers stuck in traffic jams for over 4 - 5 hours, busses stopped running and no sand or salt for gritting the roads. Also freezing fog coming down, its actually unbelievable.Scary
Cold but not snowing in the West Midlands.
Cardiff - solid ice underfoot everywhere. Scary nightmare
The expected 16:00 snow missed us and appeared to head down the coast to the North York Moors. So a very cold night I fancy.
It's rubbish here, my sis is rushed off her feet at work covering everyone elses shifts (she works with severley disbled adults)...her bloke does the same job but in another place ios having to sleep at work tonigh coz he can't get home...and that's after abandoning his car halfway and walking into work.

Ah! Don't panic Leccy. There is a way around this.**removes Leccy's crucifix**
My fridge talks too, Leccy. Pedants say it's the frost-free mechanism, but I swear sometimes it hums a tune under its icy breath...
The radiators have started grumbling to each other recently, too.
Just had a look at the met office site for the NE tonight.
This Evening and Tonight:
Many inland areas should remain dry with a widespread severe frost. However, snow showers are likely near the coast and some of these may be heavy and prolonged for a time bringing further significant snowfall to some places. Minimum temperature -8 °C.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Them poor lil birdies and small animals - i truly feel so sorry for them

I find the sound of the heating and theboiler clicking on all quite comforting...especially on a morning if you're still in bed and hear the whoosh. Reference:

That's why you should have bird boxes and hedges.

Thanks Leccy.
Cold here in the West MIdlands, but a quite warm -4 on hubby's dashboard when he popped out an hour or so ago. Really sick of this weather now, was nice at first but not when you have to do things. Leccy, hope you are ok wherever you are, being stiuck in that long can't be any fun, I have been in 2 days and it's driving me up the wall.

I have a hedge, and I can always hear them all chattering away in it, whatever the weather. And several bird feeders, too. It's important.
Thanks Pinkalicious
Reet here's me for another rant...I went for a really long hot soak in the bath about an hour and a half ago...Just got out, got meself a hot orange squash and a srepsil (losing my voice at the minute...Hurrah for the family) and we've had about another INCH of snow. Don't know what time it started and it's still like a blizzard out there.
Marbles about to be lost

Oh Whaaaaaaaaaaaa Leccy! I can still see me footprints in the drive, but it's snowing heavilly
The footptints in the garden have gone Pam and on the front path.
Oh Leccy According to the forecast we have got more heavy snow on Sunday. I'm going mad because I haven't been able to get out for 2 days, (balance problems make it difficult for me) so can only imagine how you feel.
Sent hubby out today to get a couple of bird feeders and some cheap dog mixer for the foxes, so may sit in the conservatory tomorrow (with a warm blanket) and watch them feed.

Yeah that's me too, I'm wobbly anyway and prone to injury easily so a slip could be ouchy. I hope you don't get too much where you are and you can get out soon. I don't even have anywhere I need to go really, I just want to see what 2010 looks like
