It's like some one put sheets of ice outside...I had to take Finn to get his hearing re-tested and nearly died a few times, and that was before I got into the car
There have been three crashes outside the house in the last hour...people skidding around the corner.

Been snowing for about an hour now and roads and pavements are not good. Just been out in it and cars are crawling along, seems to be stopping now but sky is full of snow, temperatures according to hubby's dashboard are -1.5 degrees.

Very frosty here.Temps plummeted to -9 last night, but recovered to about -2 this morning. Our snow disappeared before xmas and(didnt think I'd ever say this),but I'd be quite glad if it warmed up enough for rain.On second thoughts maybe not,as the rivers are pretty high!!So if it could just warm up a tad, that will do me!

Snowing heavens hard
Must have moved from my bit to your bit Moonie, it's stopped here, but the sky is full of snow, not looking good at all. Local Junior school has closed by the look of it, kids on the way home, thoroughly enjoying the snow.
0 degrees here, sky looks full of snow.South Wales.
Spoke too soon, snowing fast and furious now.
oc here in Nottingham snowed overnight by the look of it, bliddy freezing
Sent it across from the Midlands especially for you Bo
In Manchester the snow had, until yesterday, nearly gone. I woke up this morning to bluddy Narnia. 6-8 inches had fallen overnight and now it's about 10. All local schools closed and no public transport. ...and it's still bucketing down (apparently Sky news reported some Mancunians getting to work on skis). That's dedication. The garden looks exquisitely pretty though.
Quite warm here, but i do have the heating on.
Outside though bloody freezing, no snow yet, Dorset way

Cold...but bright and sunny in Surrey...no snow at all
its started snowing here again now
Started a new job in the offices at the hospital yesterday but hardly anyone turned up today so I had an hour's training and am back home - I'm within walking distance so its ok for me - we must have had at least 8 inches of snow here and there are no buses or taxis and all the schools are closed
Severe weather warning just on Sky News, areas from Oxford southwards have a very severe weather warning in place, could be up to 16 inches of snow in those areas according to what they have just said, more is expected for the West/East Midlands today. Selfishly I have to try and go out and get a prescription and some shopping and I am dreading it.
Can't believe it a gritter has finally gone past my house, the first one I have seen!!
Pink Babe - I am in Oxford, I really hope that forecast is wrong. It's cold, but bright and sunny atm.
Bolton Fan - good luck with the new job

Snowing here in South Gloucestershire/North Bristol. Looks like it's here for a while, but you never know with this stuff.

I think I'm fairly close to you and I'm snowed in here! It's coming down thick and fast...I wish it would bugger off, I've not left the house since afore xmas and I can't see me getting out any time soon.

Just checked the met office site, we're on amber alert, severe weather warning (again)

Intermittent sleet/snow in Cardiff. Pavements are already deadly in places
funny you should say that leccy, it's started here again. when i said respite, i meant from actual blizzards, what we got before hasn't even thought about going.
o/h couldn't get the car out yesterday, managed this morning but is heading home from work as we speak.
who is it here that lives up the top of the dale? they'll be sick as hell by now.
