Very hot on Tuesday, too hot even for a cardigan. 5 pm went to a World Buffet - 'twas lovely - left it at around 8 pm - and it was STILL too hot for a cardigan.

Today it was supposed to rain for much of the day. There was a shower around midday and that was about it. Was too hot for the cardigan again and really too hot for the waterproof, but I had to wear it because of the forecast. Took it off even before the bus came and it stayed off for the rest of the day. Even now I am in the short sleeves only!

Cardigan?........if I was to tell you what I am wearing in this heat, I would blush!

you're wearing nowt again aren't you?

Vest and knickers...........and I have left my vest un-tucked......

Bath, this morning ... rainy and miserable. Kept getting photos sent to us from friends in Oxford of snow, snow and more snow.

Made decision not to stop at scrummy seafood restaurant in Devises on the way back, but to head back to Oxford mid morning and meet up with friends for lunch on the Ridgeway.

Got stuck way up on the Downs, couldn’t get down a steep, steep hill coz there were two lorries stuck going up it, compacted ice on the road, and no traction whatsoever. We finally managed to get down the hill by free sliding, then crashing into the snow on the bank of the road to stop us ... reversing like fury, then repeating ... all the while hoping the boy racer in the porche behind us had half a brain cell.

I don’t mean to be southernist ... but this isn’t supposed to happen in Oxford!
