Cold wet windy...in the West Midlands...enough said
Sheffield : Saturday 12th December 13:24
It's raining, has been raining since I woke up and I suspect it will continue to rain all day. Decided to spend it indoors clearing emails and looking to order pretty things.
We got snow! but it's slushy and nasty

As predicted in my earlier post, the rain has not let up and seems set to throw two wet fingers at me especially as I wanted to walk down to M&S and pick up some of their 'on offer' chocolate snacks, in particular the turkish delight, mint and lemon bars. I fear I may have to resign myself to spending the rest of the day in front of my computer and endure a paucity of chocolate!

I like how you are the antithesis to my verbose meanderings.
Lanarkshire:
When I first looked out I thought we'd had a thin layer of snow, but on closer examination it was just a heavy frost!
Scotland - heavy frost. Very pretty!
Newcastle - by golly its cold, snow has barely moved. Some thawing on the roads only and little wind (small mercies).
I feel for the poor lil pumpkins outside in the cold so they were fed heftily this morn. I'm thinking of buying some birdy boxes and getting local handyman to erect them.

Pretty much the same here in South Yorkshire. Not too cold for me to have a warm coffee outside my favourite coffee house and watch the hoards of shoppers emptying their wallets and purses.
On my walk home we got rain and I got wet'ish!

Hi EC
It's always good when someone else is emptying their wallets/purses
Glad you enjoyed your coffee, it's a shame you got wet on the way home though.

Cheers Moonie.
It was not so bad. I don't mind getting wet on the way home as I can dry off.
I'm just thinking...I need to go turn my heating off feck knows how much this is costing me

Have not turned mine on yet. I suspect as soon as we get a sustain period of low temperatures I will do. Looks like our local forecast is for temps between 8-13 degrees.
I only turn my heating on when I absolutely need it. Can't afford it any other time
May I refer you to my previous comment? Isn't this global warming a swizz?
Lanarkshire - Murky.
Sheffield. 16:55.
Waaaaaay too warm.
Bring on the snow.
It's weird weather we're having here. I'm scared

I never said that. I just said it was odd. We're normally six feet deep in snow by now....not that I want that either

I thought for those who enjoy Xmas, snow is the icing on the cake.
Ridiculously warm at 14C right now.
11 degrees c as I travelled home at 18:15 this evening. No breeze to speak of.
Still too damn hot here at coordinates 53°23âē01âģN 1°28âē01âģW.
I suspect we may be in for a really bad winter when it comes - fingers crossed.
Was raining while I was on the bus, but had stopped by the time I had to alight.
11 degrees again, but a bit more breezy.

Blue skies, bright sunshine and not a drop of moisture in sight. Looks delightful out there. I shall venture out within the hour for a stroll and a coffee and my favourite coffee franchise.
West Midlands...
Very mild. No rain earlier but there appears to be a little falling now. Flat calm...
Lanarkshire
Similar to EC's, except that the ground is damp from earlier rain.

It's been rather overcast but quite warm. No moisture and no wind to speak of.
