Flippin cold

Blowing a gale and expecting even worse in a couple of hours here in Cheshire Stay safe everyone

It's been raining constantly all boring and over lunch and is still going. I have been in all day and enjoyed opening parcels I have received over the last week. I have realised that I need to go buy milk and cornflakes!!

EC dons wet weather gear and trudges out to Sainsbury's.

Strong wind and rain in Nottingham

OK. Since I posted above the rain has got a little stronger and instead of coming straight down it has now assumed a 45 degree angel.

Further update, I am going to keep an eye on what Aimee says is happening in Nottingham because the wind is now up and it's looking rather grim out there. Glad I don't have to go out today (I postponed my visit to Sainsbury's).

We had a lull early afternoon ...sun came out ...thought the worst was over....but it's back even stronger  

 and cold!! very cold.

I think we now have Aimee's wind.

It's gone mad out there  man in his 70 is thought to have been electrocuted trying to move a tree off power cables 

Well, it's good news from Oxford. The fire service bought in big inflatable bags which they laid down the side of the main roads to stop more flood waters getting onto them, then they pumped the existing floods away ... Gawd knows where to.

All main roads through the city are open now. Phew!

Like everyone else it's freezing cold, blowing a gale and raining. But, the traffic is moving
