A bit windy and a bit wet.

Been trying to rain and managed a few times but I think the wind is keeping the worst of it at bay

Cold.

It's been an interesting week weather wise, here in Oxford.

Lots of rain, resulting in lots of flooding, causing two of the main roads into the city being blocked. Buses have had to take major detours because of said floods, which has meant a huge increase in the number of cars on the road as the buses are taking ages to get through. What is normally a 15 minute drive to work has been taking me over an hour.

I haven't been able to get through the floods to my normal parking space, so have had to park a mile and a half away and walk in. On the first morning I had trainers on, and discovered the only pathway was also flooded, so had to take my trainers and socks off and wade through the freezing cold water!

Yesterday a collegue and I decided to walk through the floods (wearing wellies) to see how bad they really were. We had to turn back as they were so deep. I went to take a picture of a street sign which was almost submerged, stepped forward to get closer, fell off the kerb and my wellies filled up! How my collegue laughed!

It's been a very cold walk home, so much so that my ears hurt.

Lots of sunshine, brilliant blue sky. Ground is damp though because we had a frost this morning.

Tomorrow is forecast rain and I am going to Colchester Zoo.

Then cooking my O/H birthday tea (pork in Calvados) and having a quiet night in before work Tue morning.

Cold and windy in the West Midlands(Black Country), with the occasional burst of sunshine. Loads of rain over night though..

Scotland - heavy rain, wind and now hailstones.

It is now bucketing down and blowing a gale and i'm off for a nap

Oxford is flooded again. Two of the main roads into the city centre have been closed, meaning there will be traffic chaos again tomorrow. I will have to wade through flood waters about eight inches deep to get to work.
