I luved the '87 storm. My radio alarm didn't work because of the power failures when I was living in my first flat.  I hadn't heard a thing and when I woke up and phoned to work they said not to go to work! Result!

The weather is not to bad in my part of the West Midlands. In fact I have sun shining through my bedroom window at present. It looks like I missed most of the bad weather

All quiet in Nottingham, it was meant to hit us this morning but we've just had rain, it is going a bit dark now

P'd with rain all night... blowing a gale this morning...hail a couple of hours ago, heavy snow half an hour ago and beautiful blue sky and sunshine now (but still windy)  Flippin' mental weather...

Last time i was out on me bike i could see the river lapping up onto the pavement - i was shocked.

I have just seen a news item taken at Brum Airport. Planes trying to land sideways but having to abort, several times, in 60mph winds It looked frightening

Scotland - we've had heavy rain, gales, hailstones and snow today.

The little bit of snow that was lying has now frozen, which means the pavements are like ice rinks.

There was a lamp post down and the bus to work had to go a different route.

 The driver had to make some fancy manoevers, but even so we still ran over a bench. The wind was gusting strongly and I'd have been blown over if my husband hadn't been hanging on to me. The rain was torrential!

No snow though!
