Davidson wrote about the marriage in his autobiography, The Full Monty. He
bragged: “We’re like a couple of boxers. On the first occasion, I poked her in
the eye by accident. I actually went for the mouth. Thank heaven I missed, I’d
have fallen in. I just took a playful punch. Unfortunately I caught her
completely wrong. The second time I gave her a shiner. I threw a bunch of keys
which whacked her in the eye.

He also released a DVD in 2000 entitled Why Sex With Dogs & Other Animals Is Not Wrong, With Jim Davidson which opened with Davidson sitting in a chair with a Labrador at his feet addressing the camera, saying "A lot of you out there probably love animals like Fido here. Well, I also love animals; so much so I feel a need to penetrate them".

See, that is exactly the sort of reference that drags me right back to my original stance on Jim.  If it was 'humour' then it wasn't funny. Maybe he's had some therapy that makes him appear more of the man we're seeing, but I suspect it is probably the likelihood that C5 is skewing his edit.

Referring to Jimmy Saville:

“Hmmm. I knewâ€Ķ and didn’t do anything. Mind you I had no proof. To me he was just another pervert”.

Davidson then added: “There are lots of them in showbiz. There seems to be more gay ones than straight, but that’s because there are probably more gays in showbiz than most professions”.

From The Mail Online:

"Davidson’s previous controversies include  refusing to go on stage at Plymouth Pavilions in 2003, saying that he could not  perform his act with wheelchair users watching from the front row."

The BBC:

"Mr Davidson cited the fact that a proportion of his act was aimed at disabled customers and that he would be unable to perform under these circumstances," said a theatre spokesman.

Is that not what he was on about the other day when he said the signer was signing something different to them

Pretty like Jimmy Carr... but he's not vilified in the same way Jim is.

Nothing to do with kids. I think that's why he said he was told it wasn't the same as Saville.
