Sadly all to often a selfish world - COVID is showing that
Actually Rents, I think that covid is bringing out the good side in people ... people are helping each other, shopping for each other, looking out for each other ... in all this madness it is the one thing that is good really x
I wonder if that's more on a local level - people have been rather helpful round our way too.
Yet nationally i feel people are looking out for their business ahead of common sense, their wedding, holiday, I've heard from many delivery staff that Tesco/ASDA etc are madness and no one is observing any type of rule.
Students admitting to much the same on TV interviews.
Local councillors refusing to apply Government rules
And even the Gov ignoring Health advice

That's true. Across the road has three kids and a missus who works in a care home. His is a revolving door every day. Feck, wise up - you're breaking the law. There's denial and denial. This thing is invisible.

Hi Rexi I think that might have been true at the start , but Iâm not sure it is any more . .I donât drive ....certainly wouldnât use public transport , and still canât walk very far because of this darn ankle . But apart from right at the start of the pandemic , no one has offered to get any shopping etc. or even popped round to see if Iâm ok . I saw a couple of friends outside over the summer and I get a family text about every 10 days to a fortnight to see if Iâm alright ....and thatâs it . Luckily , Iâm internet savvy and have been having my shopping delivered for several years now , and my forum friends ...several of who, have become rl friends .....check on me daily , but my heart goes out to elderly people who donât have those resources , and who like me are too afraid to go out .
It is hard to see out of your own bubble, I contact parents fortnightly although Iâm one of four siblings, where one lives close to parents. I feel isolated and that is deliberate because I donât want to mix or socialise until it feels safe (very safe) to do so
Gosh ... I want to reply to Bazâs post, but I canât see how to reply on this new layout!
- i Facetime my mum every day, see her twice a week, and do her shopping once a week. Everyone I know (apart from my brother and sister, but thatâs another story) is looking out for each other. We have given all our elderly neighbours our phone number ... nearly had a fit when the phone rang at 7am today ... bladted Amazon Prime scam call!

Hi Rexi, I agree, and perhaps we are noticing more the 'little' 'kind' acts that people have 'always' done but never really thought about, but we are all now noticing and smiling and appreciating.....xxx
