We are doing a 'tasting' menu, in the hope that it lasts all night ... so lots of very small dishes:
little pastry shells with feta and asparagus tips
spiced parsnip soup with parmesan tuiles ( how posh is that!)
tempura vegetables
home made raviloi stuffed with some sort of prawn conncoction (hubby's forte)
shredded duck with a cherry and mint salsa wrapped in lettuce (think crispy duck pancakes)
some sort of fish dish, as yet to be decided
limoncello frozen yogurt with redcurrant coulis
followed with Jules and champers at midnight

It was the first time in over a year that all our little peeps were home at the same time. Lots of noise, lots of mess ... just how I like it!

Haha! Cheers suzy!!

I was speaking to a friend today who's daughter has got two labs,Alfie and Madison. The daughter was telling me that they both had to go to the vet hospital as one or both had eaten a box of Heroes and jaffa cakes. They both had to be given charcoal but it was Alfie who had been the glutton as up came all the wrappers as proof Madison was the innocent one .It reminded me of Loki so I came to see if there were any recent pics and came across these.I wasn't on the board at the time, glad you enjoyed your family time
Hugs to Loki .
He's all grown up now Erin.. and thankfully has calmed down a bit!
He truly is the dog of love.. he sleeps between MrD & I .. and as we turn over in bed he does too.. and basically spoons us.. I wake up to his baggy waggy hovercraft lips on my cheek as he pops his head over my shoulder! Love him I do
[pic of saggy baggy hovercraft lips]
He is still a knicker nicker though.. but generally he is definitely getting easier.. even the cat is getting fonder of him!
Every Sunday morning, I take him to the beach with my Dad and his dog. Cos Loki seems to actually be a seal really.. and just wants to swim.. right out to sea, we have to go at low tide, as its just turned so its coming in again, just in case. He's getting better though now.. only goes right out if the Siren Seagulls taunt him
I love this pic! He looks completely mental!! "RUNNING.. JUST GONNA DO SOME RUNNING... FAAAAAST RUNNING.... WIV ME MASSIVE TONGUE TRAILING IN THE WIND!"
and then, every week we come home, and I cook Sunday lunch,
including Dad.. it was awkward to begin with.. but we're getting there.. My birthday next week.. and I knew they would never be the same without Ma.. Dad hasn't disappointed.. declared last week, on MrD's birthday that he was going to give us a joint bday pressie of a new shed MUM WOULD KNOW!!!! She'd know that was a crap pressie!
Hi Ditty - great to see you back. Hope you're well. It will be a sad first Birthday without your Mum
