I agree with your comments, and I would also like to add that he washed his hands after having a wee. So much for all the FMs who call him dirty. There's lots in there that don't bother washing their hands.
And he didn't need to be asked to do it either...he's a top bloke.
At least it spared us an hours worth of him playing guitar.

He's not that bad on the guitar, and we would only have been shown about 10 seconds anyway.
I think he felt bad about losing earlier tokens so loved the fact he could gain some love back from the HM's by ordering fish and chips. Nothing wrong with that everyone wants to feel appreciated - he did make a thing of telling some he sacrificed his guitar for them though lol

although he was like a broken record going on about the extras like pickled eggs and battered sausages

Can't blame him for trying to get the best deal he could.
It was nice but he didn't half boast about it to the other housem8s didn't he?
Yes it was very nice of him to get them all fish and chips

I thought he gave some of his tokens and shopping money back to make up for the DR punishment by BB anyway. This I think is separate.

Tbh I've not seen an explanation of why he had a token to exchange. He seemed happy though to do something for the HM's rather than himself
it would have been a lovely gesture, if he hadnt gone on about how he had given up his opportunity to play the guitar to do so.
I think the diary room incident has made Marcus realise that the HMs and BB are not impressed with his "rebel" behaviour.
He seems a lot calmer since, even his tone of voice has changed in the DR.
Liking Marcus again

I think commentators on this thread are naive in the extreme if they think Marcus was not using this as opportunity to improve his chances of not being evicted today.
I have quite liked Marcus, so I don't have some agenda against him, but it is screamingly obvious that he is doing this for his advantage. His repeated advertising of his good deed and his sacrifice further reinforce the view. If he could have sacrificed more he would have been even happier.

Harry Enfield's 'Smashy and Nicey' DJs...."I do a lot for charidee, but I don't like to talk about it"........

Of course he is..... Its a game
Isnt the idea of competing in any game to give yourself the best chance of progressing, otherwise why bother?
I get a bit confused when people slag others off for having a gameplan.
Anyone that devotes a possible 13 weeks of their lives to BB without a gameplan is a bit thick if you ask me
There is a difference between a "game plan", which is some long term strategy for success, and utilising opportunities as they arise to make oneself more popular.
I think very few hms have had game plans.

I think every HM goes in with a game plan which obviously has to change as you are not the only player in the game.
Marcus made a tit of himself in the DR and had a plan to redeem himself... nothing wrong with that in my book.
His actions have everything to do with not getting evicted rather than his DR behaviour.

Exactly how blind can some be. Didnt like the fact his gloat about Siavash's predicament was cut out last night. His 'best day' comment I would have liked to have seen.

Thats the whole idea of the game.. not to be evicted.
I agree his behaviour has most definately changed this week, and that is because he want to stay, I am not looking forward to his gloating when he does.

That's how I saw it. Get the public on his side again. Sweet Marcus, thinking of the others.
Team Marcus are in overdrive for the obvious reasons.
I only remember his pathetic loss of THREE tokens.
Sleazebags!

My first thought was he knows this will be televised to the GBP and seen as a magnanimous gesture. No wonder he was extra delighted when Isaac entered the house(tho it was played right down on the HLs).He sat there grinning for hours after declaring 'this is the best day ever'.He then went to comfort Siavash, firstly for more positive air minutes...and secondly someone else for him to lick his wounds with.
It was nice of him and made me very hungry. I could almost smell the vinegar! I'll be having some fish and chips myself today.

Don't ! While I don't like fish/meat etc chip shop chips make me drool! It's the hot vinegar - I'm appalled that in Turkey (hubby's original home land, he's been over here longer now btw) that they don't put vinegar on their chips! It must be a British thing - we asked for vinegar when we had a portion of chips out in Turkey but the guy thought we made a mistake - however years ago his cousin put us up (his mother, hubby's aunt, was off visiting) and I cooked a meal of salad and Spanish omelette and chips and hubby's cousin was transformed by the vinegar!
.
It was so obvious he was doing it for the voters and as an extra it helped get the hm's back on side (he played a blinder) and yes it was just game play but it begs the question why when Noirin used her looks to advantage (game play) she was berated for it... double standards if you ask me and btw I don't like either of them

It did cross my mind it was for the viewers etc, but at least he made an effort in the right direction - I'm beginning to 'prefer' him to stay over Noiren by far - she has to go; she has no redeeming factors imo.
