Personally I think it's a receipe for disaster to appoint any existing FMs as moderators.  Whilst most people get on reasonably well here, there are many friendship groups, where some FMs might feel that a biased approach was being taken, and there are also some longstanding grudges and bad feeling between some people which date back a long way.  I think it would put many people off using the forum if any of us were appointed as mods.

(that idea of one of us being a mod would more or less be the final nail in the coffin for this place i think)

Impartiality is an absolute must and i don't think that would happen with a fm, not because of camps or cliques but because of knowledge of existing fm's (eg a mod may excuse one fm because they know "they don't really mean it" whereas another fm might not have that knowledge and think there is bias)

That's the last thing we need on this forum.To be honest I doubt anyone on this forum would want to be a moderator .

Yes, I think Lori does an excellent and very fair job as moderator.  This is quite a small forum, and there don't seem to be too many problems most of the time, so I wouldn't have thought it was a very onerous job for her? 

Are there private forums within gaga that this has been posted to aswell?  That could cause problems if someone who used to be here but only now posts in the private forum decides to apply to become mod and does get accepted.

Truthfully, I wouldn't vote for any member...I wouldn't be confident enough for a forum  member to be totally impartial and that would include myself.
