From the south but exiled to the north for bad behaviour
Forced to live in the ugliness of Snowdonia national park where I can only dream of drunken rugby fans urinating on my front door

So instead you have the reality of legions flat-land city-dwellers who've never seen a mountain before getting lost on Snowdon after going up it in flipflops

My hubby (28 yrs) is, ironically aTurk from Turkey!
Stokie, from Stoke on trent, lived and been all over the british isles, lived in Scotland, Republic of Ireland,...and been to Wales lots of times,
recently moved (in the past 3 months) up here in Northumberland, Hexham way, inbetween Newcastle and Carlisle, Fantastic countryside and scenery, very very quiet and very very green,
OH how I miss the streets of Stoke on Trent,
its months now since I have seen any pro BNP graffiti scrawled on walls,
not been woken up by drunks fighting just outside my window, or been mobbed by "teenage" (or younger), hoodies DEMANDING that I buy booze for them outside the local offy,
and its been ages since one of the little darlings threatened to
"go over the park, dig something up, and come back n blow my head off"
yeah I really MISS good old Stoke............ NOT,

Northumberland is beautiful. I had one of the best holidays ever there a couple of years ago.

I'm a Scot from Edinburgh but living in Cardiff at the mo . Lovely place, lovely people. Lived in Belfast for a good while before that and loved it there too. Sounds like I'm on a capital city tour of the UK .

I love Edinburgh...miss living there so much, best city in the UK
When my mum was in labour with me, my nana (dad's mum) insisted on taking her to hospital in Chester rather than the local cottage hospital in Wales because she didn't want her first grandchild to be Welsh! I've always felt robbed of my true nationality. I spent the first 7 or 8 years of my life in Wales though and I have Welsh blood, I'm A Rhesus -, which is quite rare, and in my family comes from the Welsh side.
