You really should read their election manifesto before voting. What are their plans for education, public services, the economy, climate change, creating new jobs, getting the country back on it's feet, foreign policy, fighting terrorism etc etc etc.............. Then you can compare their plans with the other political parties who are fielding a candidate in your constituency.

For the yr 2010 - 2011 the dept of healths overall resource expenditure limit is going to be £104 billion, of which about £12 billion is being wasted on the crappy NHS IT project (which I can tell you from personal experience... is gonna be a total flop)

The MoD budget is currently being cut in this same year to £36 billion.

So for us to pay our part in the EU community paying £6 billion, of which we get a very large part back.... is small potatoes, when put in the larger picture of other areas our government wastes money.

Fair enough if you resent this £6 billion, there are plenty of people that do. But its not as much money as it sounds when put into context of government expenditure.

Total government spend for 2009 = £620 billion.

And if we did stop spending the £6 billion to the EU... do you really think the man in the street would notice any difference with that money back in the economy?

i know they arent to non anglo saxon friendly too and i dont qualify on those grounds either but i do love my country and frankly i think in terms of the eu they offer us the best chance.

as i said there is no way in hell i'd vote for them in a general election though, for me its purely an eu issue.
