I would love to go and stay in a cottage somewhere remote (possibly in Canada or here) and just spend time walking around appreciating nature and reading/relaxing in front of a fire!

Disney World is where I had the best holiday ever. I have always fancied a log cabin overlooking a beautiful lake too, with a boat to potter about in and peace and quiet and good company. Cosy nights by a roaring log fire - star filled skies, bliss.

They all sound lovely.... I would really like to go to Cornwall, in a little cottage near the beach but within civilisation cos I don't do wilderness.

Some good suggestions already... yeah Baz ... Maldives (went there for my honeymoon).... & I agree with Vancouver too!
But... right now I would be happy with a nice boat on the Norfolk Broads for a week,... with the kids & the dog.
Not gonna happen though... daughter is currently on a yacht on the Ionian Sea.... her so called "cheap hol on a friends parents yacht" has ended up being so not cheap... that we will not be going anywhere this year... again!

oh! you really must Baz! It exceeded my expectations.Top tip (for a small, quiet, island... all mod cons, fantastic food, no kids... no discos or any of that rubbish) ... an Island called Medhufushi.

yes... it really was. I think our Friends & Family on both sides had given up hope of either of us settling down... it got a bit unnerving at just how pleased (& releieved) people were for us. Bless em! Best wedding pressie ever
