VIP status just means you pay for extra privileges Lal....they are just as equal as us

I wouldn't pay to be a VIP for something that used to be free

What constitutes a VIP?

I think fairfax it means you can have a custom title, you can start a group, and you can mentally feel better than everyone else while sitting infront of a PC doing the same thing as everyone else.

What extra privileges do they get ?...are they worth having..

Not sure Lal but I wouldn't pay for them...I just want to post here, nothing else.

Hi Lal I hope others dont think that way I would feel awful, I noticed they were giving a discount it was 59 dollars and they were doing it for 39 dollars about £24 our money,I decided to do it as I dont do anything or go anywhere except come on the forum every day and night and I thought I would give it a go,to be honest I hope I dont regret it, as I would absolutely hate if others thought I thought I was better than anyone else just because it say's VIP next to my name

It's not really worthwhile if you just want to use the forum.... but for those of you into blogging you get a nifty little picture thingy. (yes that IS the technical term )

You can post pics anywhere within a post at the mo for free......... being a VIP makes your blog photos display all posh.

Being a VIP also gives the the right to upload pics directly from your pc without having to host them on photobucket or such....very convenient if you want to put lots of pics up.

Marg... do not feel paranoid hon... the reality is that at the moment the VIP subscriptions are probably subsidising the free service the rest of us get.

Out of interest....   which adverts do you no longer see.... presume the top and bottom ones.... do you still see the one on the right for the Live Cloud VIP membership?

I think for £24 sounds great if you use a lot of photos and things,hardly swanking that your a millionaire! Good luck to the people who have it.

I don`t know how to photobucket anyway so when I get myself sorted on here I will prob become a VIP, it`s the only chance I`ll ever have to become one.  I have to say that I`ve been fiddling about on here all day on and off and have just discovered, whilst looking for the blush smiley, that the little box scrolls right and left as well as up and down - no wonder I couldn`t find half the smileys

Soozy ... you can choose to do it or not ... nobody is twisting arms or holding loaded weapons to anyone's head ... I don't see what the point is of making a big deal of it ...?? If you just want to post here on this forum, it's not going to affect you in any way whether you have VIP membership or not ... as others have pointed out in the thread, it comes into play if you like to post a lot of photos or for people more involved in LC as a whole who can create groups etc. .... There really is no need to blow a gasket over it ...

I'm different there because I quite like it and it's nice to be invited to be someone's buddy, it just adds to the forum experience really.

Certainly prefer this type of social networking site as opposed to FB, my husband is a member and I don't really know why he has bothered apart from a couple of his relatvies who's email addy he hasn't got.

Just my view and I know a lot of people on here like FB.
